Welcome to Proflify, a progressive web application (PWA) developed by Atomlit Labs. Your privacy is critically important to us.

1. Information We Collect

To provide you with the best experience, we collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you sign in via Google Authentication (for Drive Backup), we collect your name, email address, and profile image URL to identify your session.
• Profile & Analytics Data: We store the data fetched from supported platforms (such as Dev.to, Reddit, and HackerNews), as well as AI-generated content and insights you create within the app.
• Usage Analytics: We may use basic analytics to collect anonymized data regarding app performance, errors, and user engagement to improve our service.

2. How We Store and Secure Your Data

By default, all your profile and analytics data is stored locally on your device. We prioritize your privacy and give you full control over your data through a "Local-First" architecture.

• Local Storage (Default): Your data remains entirely in your browser's IndexedDB unless you explicitly choose to enable cloud backups. We do not operate any backend servers that store your profile data.
• Optional Cloud Backup: You can opt in to sync your data securely to your personal Google Drive. This enables you to backup and restore your records across multiple devices.
• Data Transfer: If you choose to enable Google Drive backup, data is transferred securely using Google's official APIs and is stored in a hidden application data folder that only Proflify can access.

3. Sharing Your Data

We strongly believe that your data is yours alone. Our data sharing practices are strictly limited to the following scenarios:

• No Third-Party Selling: We never sell, trade, or rent your personal, profile, or analytics data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
• AI Processing: Content generated via AI involves sending prompts to our integrated AI providers (e.g., Google Gemini). We only send the necessary context required to generate the insights or content.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

5. Advertising and Subscriptions

As of the current version, Proflify does not display advertisements. We may introduce premium features in the future. Payment processing for any such features will be handled by secure third-party providers, and we will not store your payment details on our servers.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Because data is stored locally, you can clear your browser data at any time to permanently delete it. If you use Google Drive backup, you can manage or delete the hidden app data directly from your Google Drive settings.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
